1 chai tea bag (note you can change this up by using other types of tea such as rooibos, roasted dandelion root, chamomile, fennel, or an herbal blend like Immortal Monk by High Garden Tea in Nashville)
1 cup boiling water
1/3 cup oat or nut mylk
1 ¼ tsp maple syrup or honey, divided
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla extract or scrape a 2 inch piece of vanilla bean
1 tsp. maca powder
¼ tsp medicinal mushroom powder (like The eight mushrooms by Kiki Green)
Steep tea bag in 1 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes
Warm and froth the mylk and 1 tsp of the maple syrup or honey in a milk frother (milk needs to be warm first)
Remove tea bag. Add the tea to your blender along with the rest of the sweetner, vanilla, cinnamon, maca and medicinal mushroom powder. If you don’t have a frother then add the milk and maple syrup now)
Blend until frothy… about a minute. Pour back into mug and top with the frothed mylk.
Enjoy!!
